SEO Manager · Dec 2019 – May 2020
Lamudi is a property portal operating across emerging markets, including Indonesia, where online property search continues to grow significantly.
What I Did
Real estate is one of the most competitive categories in Indonesian organic search. Lamudi competed directly with Rumah123, 99.co, and OLX Properti, all with strong domain authority.
My approach was location and property-type content that was highly specific. Rather than competing on generic queries, I focused on building visibility in long-tail queries showing real purchase intent.
Beyond content, I also worked on the technical side: listing page speed, internal link structure, and property schema that helps search engines understand the type of content we were serving.
Tools & Approach
“In the property market, buyers don't search for homes generically. They search for homes in a specific location, at a specific budget. SEO strategy must reflect that specificity.”
Lessons Learned
This brief period reinforced my belief that SEO based on local data and precise intent is more effective than chasing high search volumes with low conversion rates.
